Studio Bijoux showcases the unique, timeless designs of master beader and designer Alexandra Bourque.

Alexandra first began beading while at college, trying to save money on costuming for her Middle Eastern dance performances by beading her own fringe, choli tops, and veils. Soon after college, Alexandra enrolled in beading classes, began experimenting with different beads and beading techniques, and visited bead fairs, small bead shops, and online stores for unique beads to add to her already growing collection.

Alexandra soon moved on from costuming and began beading holiday decorations, home and gift items, jewelry, and bridal accessories.

Inspired by the jewelry patterns and designs featured in classic movies, in magazines, on the street, and in Middle Eastern dance costuming, Alexandra pulls from a wide range of beading styles to create stunning works of art unlike any jewelry or beaded item you can buy.

Based in Barboursville, Virginia, Studio Bijoux has been creating hand-beaded necklaces, bracelets, earrings, tiaras, and headpieces since 1996.

In addition to jewelry, Studio Bijoux also creates hand-crafted holiday decorations, baby mobiles, and home and gift items, including candle bobeches and suncatchers.
